I don‘t want to bash Praxis Markt, because the Westerpark location is not bad at all, but why spend your money there when you can give it to a private owner that always delivers excellent service and great products for fair prices.

Great shop, just as an example from today - didn’t have the part I needed but pointed me to a website where it could be possible to get it. Very friendly service!

Great service and, by Amsterdam locksmith standards, reasonably priced (€5 for basic key copy). Also a great selection of tools and garden supplies. Many thanks

Still, the best place to visit if you need anything hardware supply related. For such a small store they carry a lot. The staff is super friendly, knows a lot, and will talk you through everything needed. As another reviewer said, we as a neighborhood are blessed with a pretty good Praxis but really consider going to this place first since it is definitely worth it. Note: I could be considered a little biased since I work closeby and my shop is literally being held together by supplies all coming from here.

People in the store were very helpful. I have purchased many products that I needed for my home in the last two weeks. He explained the installation of all of them in detail and thanks to this, I was able to easily install them when I got home.

They have everything small screws, big screws, they mix your paint color on demand. They have a key service. They even had a e12 lightbulb I couldn’t find elsewhere

These guys are always the most helpful. When I have hardware needs or have a problem with the house these guys are always the first I go. Their knowledge is vast and if they don’t have the solution in the store at hand they will order it for you!

Better than Gamma and Praxis by far. The guy at the store was so friendly and helpful! We had a quite a few questions as we needed guidance on installing some lights and a tv at our new place and with lots of patience and a great attitude he helped us and was obviously very knowledgeable on all the things we needed to know. We went to Gamma and Praxis the weekend prior and in comparison this small shop had all the basic essentials that we needed, and the tipping point for us was that the service was 100x better! No attitude or short abruptly answers, just a kind person with knowledge to share. Would highly recommend supporting this local hardware store as they have many essentials from screws, bolts, basic bike stuff, paint, sprays, lock and key service it seems. We will definitely be going back again if we need anything hardware related!
